What are the heating instructions?

OVEN

  • Transfer to oven-safe dish and cover with foil
  • Bake for 15-18 minutes at 350° F

MICROWAVE

  • Remove lid and cover with paper towel
  • Microwave for 2-3 minutes

How long will my meals keep in the refrigerator?

We recommend enjoying your Spirited Food Co. meals within 4 days for best results. This is not an expiration date but a suggested "best by" date. Some meals may last longer depending on ingredients used. For example, some grains and veggies will last longer than others. Of course, this is provided that the meals are refrigerated immediately upon receipt, kept in a refrigerator that is cooling adequately, opened only prior to enjoying, and heated only once. If you do not plan to enjoy your meal within 4 days after pickup or delivery, another option would be to freeze the meal to have at a later time. Once a meal is opened and/or heated, it should be enjoyed right away.

What oils or seasonings are used? 

All oils and seasonings are listed for each meal. We only use avocado oil, kosher salt, garlic, onion, and any other herbs or seasonings specified in the description for each dish.

When can I pick up meals? 

Meals will be available for pickup on Tuesdays and Fridays. You will receive a text letting you know when your order is ready. All orders must be picked up by 6pm.

 

Do I need to be home to receive my order delivery?

You do not need to be home to receive your delivery, but if you are not home you must provide a cooler with an adequate number of frozen ice packs in order to maintain the food at a safe temperature until it can be refrigerated. You will then need to place your meals in the refrigerator as soon as possible; we recommend doing so within 15 minutes of delivery during the summer months, and within an hour of delivery during the cooler months.

You will receive a text notification with an ETA when your order is on its way, and another when it has been delivered.

Where does Spirited Food Co. deliver?

We deliver to the greater Austin area! If you enter your zip code for delivery and the system says we do not deliver to your area, please text 512-809-3661 and we most likely be able to add your zip code right away.

 

What are the delivery fees?

Our delivery fee is $12.99. For 10-meal and 15-meal subscriptions with deliveries twice a week, the delivery fee is $24.99 per week.

When can I place an order?

Ordering is generally open from Thursday at 10am through Sunday at 10am for pickup/delivery on the coming Tuesday. This is the only time we are able to take subscription orders due to logistical constraints.

Ordering is generally open from Sunday at 10am through Wednesday at 10pm for pickup/delivery on the coming Friday.

Why is the system not allowing me to place a subscription order?

How do Subscription Meals work?

Enjoy the convenience of having 5, 10, or 15 meals automatically prepared for you weekly. No need to place an order each week! Enjoy savings of up to 12% on our locally sourced, carefully curated monthly menu. Can be paused at any time.

Most of the meals will feature organic, pasture-raised chicken with some options featuring grass-fed beef or premium antibiotic-free pork. The items included are MED 1 - MED 5 for our Signature / Mediterranean subscriptions, and AIP 1 - AIP 5 for our Paleo / AIP subscriptions. We are not able to make substitutions on subscription items.

Meals will be distributed as follows:

  • 5-Meal Plan: 5 meals delivered or picked up on Tuesdays
  • 10-Meal Plan: 6 meals delivered or picked up on Tuesdays and 4 meals delivered or picked up on Fridays
  • 15-Meal Plan: 10 meals delivered or picked up on Tuesdays and 5 meals delivered or picked up on Fridays

Cancellation Policy: We kindly request a minimum commitment of two weeks for subscriptions. We also require that you cancel before midnight on the Saturday before your order is to be delivered so that we do not include your meals on our prep list for that week. You may pause or cancel your subscription via your online account or by texting 512-809-3661 for assistance.

When does the monthly menu change?

The first deliveries or pickups for a new monthly menu typically occur on the first Tuesday of each month, and the new menu is typically posted by noon the Friday before. This is when we begin taking orders for each new monthly menu.

How quickly will my text, voicemail, or email be answered?

All texts, voicemails, and emails will be answered by the end of the day, or the next business day at the absolute latest.

IMPORTANT: If we are unable to answer your call, please leave a voicemail with your name and a good callback number to ensure that we are able to get back to you. We may not be able to return your call if you do not leave a voicemail or text.
